HELPDESK TECHNICIAN / CLIENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Central Coast Solutions is hiring a Helpdesk Technician / Client Support Specialist to join our managed IT services team. We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, solving technical problems, documenting work clearly, and creating a reliable support experience for business clients.

About the Role

This role provides first-level technical support for Central Coast clients. You will respond to support tickets, troubleshoot common issues, communicate with users, document your work, and escalate issues when needed.

This is a great fit for someone with helpdesk or desktop support experience who wants to grow in a managed IT environment.

You do not need to know everything. You do need to be organized, calm with clients, willing to learn, and able to follow through.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming client support tickets
  • Troubleshoot common Windows workstation issues
  • Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and basic SharePoint issues
  • Assist with password resets and account access issues
  • Troubleshoot printer, scanner, and peripheral problems
  • Help with basic network connectivity issues
  • Assist with new user setup and user offboarding
  • Triage basic endpoint, RMM, and security alerts
  • Document ticket notes, next steps, and resolutions clearly
  • Escalate issues to senior team members when appropriate
  • Communicate with clients in a professional and helpful way
  • Help improve internal documentation and repeatable support processes

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of helpdesk, desktop support, or related IT support experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows support
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot common office technology issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organization and follow-through
  • Ability to document work clearly
  • Willingness to learn and ask good questions
  • Good judgment about when to escalate
  • Calm and professional approach with clients

Nice to Have

  • Experience working for a managed services provider
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Experience with RMM tools
  • Basic Microsoft 365 admin center experience
  • Basic Mac support experience
  • Experience with user onboarding and offboarding
  • Familiarity with endpoint security tools

Compensation

$22–$32 PER HOUR

Depending on experience and fit. Compensation may be higher for a candidate with strong MSP experience and the ability to quickly own first-level support, ticket flow, and documentation.
